Description
Edenvale, well known for their non-alcoholic wines, not exactly known for their quality non-alcoholic wines. This Pinot is part of the Premium Reserve range (the sparkling in this range did NOT land well for me).
This pours a dark rich red. Very dark. On those nose I am getting stone fruit, maybe cherry and a distinct wine-like aroma.
To taste, whoarrr. This is SWEET. With the sugar content what it is I am not surprised. There are some good characteristics there. It’s got body, a bit of tannin and a bit of chew. It coats the mouth well and it is certainly not thin. But it is JUST TOO SWEET. As I have mentioned before, the 6% grape juice concentrate used in these alcohol-free wines to give you body and texture just make it overwhelmingly sweet. Another bottle of red down the drain. Unless you want to use for a sangria or mulled wine and leave out any additional sugar, that would be your saving grace here.
