This is a hell of a non-alcoholic G&T. It ranks RIGHT up there for me with Monday Distillery’s as the best of the best. What you get with Yes You Can is a more robust flavour, a bitter finish and their patented afterburn which  really gives you that booze-like warmth as the drink goes down.

What you sacrifice is the sugar free aspect that we know and love from Monday. For me that makes Yes You Can more of a special treat than an every day sipper, but that might just be me and my sugar-free loving ways.

These use all natural flavours, are gluten free and absolutely DELICIOUS. They totally scratch that itch if you’re pining for a strong G&T. There are some BIG juniper flavours happening here!

The others in the range, a Spritz & a Dark & Stormy are also definitely worth a good coat of looking at (as my Dad would say!)

I excitedly cracked and poured an English Garden Spritz over ice with all the traditional Pimms garnish, took one sip and had the startling realisation that I had no point of reference for this drink!! I’m sure I have tried Pimms before, but it’s not something I can describe or remember flavour profiles.

I put the call out to my girls and in swooped Danni (apple cider aficionado) to the rescue.

Her professional opinion on the English Garden Spritz was “light, refreshing, tastes like the real deal. Would enjoy any time. 9/10

I love a Negroni. HARD. The intense bitter, playing off the orange. So so strong. Felt like such a grown up drink even when I was rendered incoherent by 5 too many.

Naked Life have crafted a ready to drink Negroni Spritz that definitely lands on some of the things you know and love about a Negroni in a light and refreshing way. You get the bitter notes, the orange that blends with hints of cherry and a light tonic vibe. It’s a refreshing nod to the Negroni that’s for sure.

For me this is my pick of the range (so far) because I find the herbaceousness balances out the thing that is my main gripe with the Naked Life range; and that is the sweetener. Now I know in order to live sugar free we have to concede a little on taste most of the time. The stevia I can deal with. The Erythritol I find more difficult. I find it too intensely fakely sweet and it also messes with my somewhat sensitive gut, never a good thing. If you can live with artificial sweetener, more power to you.

I won’t be investing in these by the case, but they are a good portable, easy and cheap summer BBQ option.

I really bloody LOVE this Margarita. I find it deliciously intense, just like a margarita should be. Great weight, viscosity, the tequila taste is sensational and there’s some serious heat that gives you an authentic throat burn!

This is done in the most authentic way possible, it’s not carbonated and it have nitro in the can, so if you give it a shake before hand you get a nice frothy head on it. Salt up your cocktail glass and pour!

I don’t know that I have ever had a Sake cocktail, let alone a Yuzu one, but the idea sounds delicious. This is one of an ever expanding range from Naked Life, that focus heavily on creating an accessible, adult drinking experience with zero sugar or regrets.

This smells great, its got that real zingy Yuzu citrus hit. Unfortunately that zing doesn’t follow through into the mouth as much as I would have expected. It has a pleasant, citrusy flavour. Not too sweet, a little sherberty (I think my body does not like the sweetener Erythritol). I am not entirely sure what I am looking for with the Sake flavour, but to be honest I wouldn’t know Sake if I fell over it! I think I would be pimping this with a fair bit of additional citrus to elevate it.

Again, as someone not big into spirits when I was drinking, I have never tried an alcoholic shiraz gin so I don’t have this point of reference for the new Monday Rouge Fizz which is Sammy’s take on that very beverage. Google tells me that a shiraz gin is a gin soaked in shiraz grapes, it gives it the brilliant red tones.

While Sam likes to have a play with her cocktails and put her individual spin on things, it seems like she’s gone for quite a like-for-like representation here.

On the nose I am getting definite plum and spice. Flavour-wise I feel like the focus is on warming spice, you get a little drop of caramel, there is the hint of juniper and the shiraz profile is really very subtle. I think overall this is on the subtle side, you do loose a little bit of the depth when you forgo the sugar. The flavours are complex, interesting and enjoyable, I just wish they were a little more intense.

I am the queen of pour and sip. Lets make it as easy as possible folks! No complicated recipes for me. The Ms Sans Cosmo is just that, shake over ice and pour into your favourite bougie cocktail glass.

Now granted I had not ordered a cosmo since NYE 2000 (peak SITC times), but the flavour profile is right up my alley, tartness from the cranberry juice with a twist of sour if you so desire it!

And the Ms Sans Cosmo pretty much nails all of those elements. Granted it is not QUITE as tart as I was expecting, but give her a good squeeze of lime and she is there. Given this this really low in sugar and is made using all natural ingredients, the mouth feel is surprisingly good. Nice and thick and viscous. There’s a nice balance of citrus sweet and cran-tart and the intensity of flavour is there like you want in a cocktail. Perfect for letting your inner Carrie play out without the booze!

My immediate thoughts on this were… if it’s a hard seltzer without the alcohol, isn’t it then just a seltzer? ie Sparkling Water? I jumped on their website where they address just this:

Now the rise of the hard seltzer really only happened as I was exiting alcohol, so I am not generally across them. But boy have they had an explosion. It is my understanding, that FELLR is brewed much like a beer, so it has fermentation, its not just a lolly water spiked with ethanol. Even so I am expecting the FELLR Free to be sweet. After all, it is watermelon flavoured.

Smells exactly like a watermelon soda. It’s a delightful light pink colour in the glass. Taste is much nicer than I was expecting. It’s not sugary sweet at all. It’s really light and refreshing. The fermentation does give the mouth feel a little depth, it’s watery but not super watery and you get a whole mouth feel. If you are a hard seltzer nut looking to cut back then this could be the win for you! With 0g sugar this could be the perfect guilt-free summer sip!

At first, I didn’t get it. I was expecting SMACK you in the face sour. So, I poured myself a little more and had a google. Google told me that a Whiskey Sour “has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and highlights the wonderful flavours of good whiskey”.

First you get the floral sweetness of the strawberry gum and kakadu plum. Then there’s the sour, it’s there but doesn’t try to overpower. Finally, the warm malty whiskey finish.

The Dram Sour is a refreshing, complex, super feminine drink. Take her as she is and don’t compare her to her sisters. I added an extra squeeze of lime because I have a very high threshold for sour!

All round it’s quite a nice drink. I get where they are going with it but for me it doesn’t quite land on the mark. I tried being fancy and did a salt garnish. DON’T. The Naked Life team have added the salt profile into the drink. She needs no additional salt! I had to pour a fresh one and add more lime, to get things sparking into action.

It’s quite a rich, full flavour, the cucumber ?adds to this I think. It certainly feels a lot more sugary that it is (she’s 0 sugar). I think for me the salt is a little overpowering making it not as refreshing as it could be and I certainly don’t get a tequila vibe. Whether that’s intentional or not is unclear.

In summary, the Virgin Margarita is maybe a 6/10. It could ban be tinkered with an redeemed, but straight out of the bottle I probably wouldn’t buy again.

I have to say, back in the day I did love a Bellini, mostly because I though it was a breakfast drink and a good excuse for starting on the wines nice and early! I had only ever used pureed canned peaches before, so discover a ready-to-drink virgin version in a bottle was quite a delightful surprise! These are made to be enjoyed either as is or mixed with a non-alc sparkling wine. Personally, drunk neat I found this a little overwhelmingly sweet & sugary. But mixing 1 parts Cipriani to 3 parts AF sparkling wine… quite divine!

So unless your planning a party, these little bottles can go quite far, and herein lies my little hack. Once I’d had a glass, I was not ready for more just yet; so divided the remainder of the bottle of peach surprise into my ice cube tray. The next time I felt like dressing up a glass of bubbles, Bang! I had single serve portions of Bellini ready to rock!

I’d say not an everyday drink but certainly a nice treat, good to have in for special occasions/Italian themed Christmas lunches! Cin Cin!

On the nose this tastes quite sweet. A strong raspberry hit as soon as you breath in.

On the palette it is something different all together. I get bitter; juniper, a hint of the raspberry but it’s not overwhelming. Definitely not too sweet. Now I am quite averse to rose flavoured things, and I am not getting that here, which is good for me, bad if you’re one of those Turkish Delight people and here for the rose! Such interesting flavours from the Sea Kelp and Samphire, they are more subtle here than in the Sea Arch Sea & T.

If you’re looking for a straight up G&T replica this is not it (go see my friends at Monday). This is refreshing, unique, moreish and really aromatic. Aaannnd it’s pink…what’s not to love?

From the brand that bring you the WORST tasting non-alcoholic G&T on the market, we have a new range of wine based spitzers. And my-oh-my am I certainly quite pleasantly surprised! Not in a ‘I’ll be drinking this ever opportunity I can get’ kind of way, but these are certainly actually drinkable!

Very much nailing the white wine spitzer vibe and the Elderflower adds a nice acidic twist. Is it sweet? Yes it is. We are not aiming for high end dry brut vibes here. But you can’t really fault it because it doesn’t promise that. Think non-alc version of a West Coast Cooler (if my memory serves me correctly) and you won’t be disappointed.

Ouchy ouch. This is FULL on. The sugar content is higher than any other non-alcoholic RTD I have tried. And it really does show in the mouth.

This is like liquid marmalade. I like my spritz to be intense but also light and really refreshing. This canned spritz from Edenvale is heavy. You could actually water this down a fair bit with a nice sparkling wine and get a better effect. Take it to half strength even to make it drinkable. There are floral notes and good strong dose of burnt orange.

Certainly not for the faint hearted and I think there are better spritz options on the market. I love the Monday Aperitz Spritz for a sugar free option, or the Yes You Can Spritz for a more balanced option.

I’ll always have a soft spot for a spritz. The perfect spritz is sweet yes, but perfectly balanced with bitter orange notes and is ahhh so refreshing on a summers day.

This ISH Spritz, made in Denmark is ticking multiple boxes for me. Its got the right balance of sweet and bitter and even though it’s a little high in sugar for mine, it’s not cloyingly syrupy. You could quite easily elevate this a little with a dash of alcohol free prosecco (like a Plus & Minus) to just bring it even closer to the mark. However it is made as a ready to pour cocktail so I will leave that to your discretion!

Whilst the 7g sugar per 100ml is a little high for this to be an everyday drink for me, it gets a pass for special occasion drinking. And the good news is they also come in single serve cans!

I’m keen to try the rest of the range which has a Sparkling Rose, a G&T and a Daquiri YUM!
